New Battleground Poll Shows Running on President Trump’s Seniors First Agenda Provides Path to Victory for GOP in the Midterms
Voters support President Trump’s leadership to provide tax relief for seniors, lower prescription drug costs, and protect Medicare and Medicare Advantage
Seniors Matter for America (SMFA), a conservative coalition dedicated to advancing President Trump’s seniors-first agenda, released a new poll today showing that running on President Trump’s efforts to make life more affordable for seniors and protect their promised benefits is a winning strategy for Republicans hoping to grow their electoral support ahead of the midterms.
The new survey of likely general election voters in the nation’s most competitive battlegrounds found strong support for the pro-seniors tax policies that were passed as a part of President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB). It also showed a clear opportunity for Republicans to broaden their support even further if they continue to stand with President Trump on protecting Medicare and Medicare Advantage, as well as oppose the left’s push to implement a single-payer health care system. What’s more, nearly two-thirds of voters (64%) say they would be less likely to support a congressional candidate who voted to harm the Medicare Advantage program.

62% of voters support Medicare and Medicare Advantage.
53% of battleground voters and 64% of seniors oppose a government-run single-payer system that eliminates private insurance.
84% are concerned about a billionaire-backed dark-money effort to take away Medicare Advantage.
64% say they would be less likely to back a candidate who voted to harm Medicare and Medicare Advantage.
